TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran activist and member of the policy making council of the 30th Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition said introducing the Islamic Republic’s Quranic accomplishments requires a permanent exhibition.

A Quran exhibition in Iran

Ali Sarabi said the Quranic capacities and achievements of the Islamic Republic are so much that they cannot be all displayed at the international Quran expo that runs for two weeks.

Therefore, there is need for a permanent exhibition to provide an opportunity for all Quran activists in government bodies and at the grassroots level to offer reports on their activities and display their achievements, he stated.

Sarabi added that in addition to the exhibition in Tehran, which is held annually in the holy month of Ramadan, there should be Quran expos in other major cities of the country because not all Quran activists in other provinces can attend the international event in Tehran.

This would help people to learn about the Quranic capacities in their province and also help Quran activist elevate the level of their activities, Sarabi went on to say.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

In 2020 the expo was called off and in 2021 it was held virtually due to the coronavirus restrictions in the country.

After the pandemic eased, the Quranic event was held in person again in April 2022 with the motto of “Quran, Book of Hope and Calm”.
